Letter to the Editor
Bending of rules might continue once in office

Daniel Matos should be given his diploma today with honors. It is clear from his letter ("USG misses point with elections complaints," March 25) that he has mastered the ethics and practices of many of today's politicians. That is, the law does not apply to me or to candidates who care about them.

While I would tend to agree that the Undergraduate Student Government is lacking, I submit that candidates who fail to follow the rules or laws in their election campaigns will probably break the rules once in office. I, for one, would not vote for such individuals. Then again, I am over 45-years-old and believe that there is right and wrong, so I must be intolerant and judgmental.
