A limited number of tickets are available for Penn State students to watch the Lady Lions at the NCAA basketball East Regional this weekend in Hartford, Conn.
An all-session student ticket is $15.00 and is good for Saturday's Penn State-Notre Dame game at noon and the Connecticut-UC-Santa Barbara contest at about 2:30 p.m. in the Hartford Civic Center, as well as Monday's NCAA East Regional championship game at 7:00 p.m.
The winner advances to the Final Four in New Orleans April 4 & 6.
Students interested in tickets should go to the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office today from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. to get a wristband. Then they should return to the Jordan Center ticket office today at 1:00 p.m. The starting wristband number for the tickets will be announced at 1:00. Students are asked to please bring their student ID.
Free bus transportation, courtesy of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, will be provided for the students selected in the lottery. The buses for Saturday's game will leave the Beaver Stadium west parking lot Saturday at 3 a.m. (tomorrow night) and leave the Hartford Civic Center 30 minutes after the completion of the UConn-UCSB game. Should the Lady Lions advance to Monday's 7:00 p.m. championship game, the student buses will depart the stadium west lot Monday at 10:00 a.m. and depart Hartford 30 minutes after the game.
Public tickets also are on sale for the NCAA East Regional. Tickets are sold as an all-session package only and cost $74. The package includes two games on Saturday and the East Regional Final on Monday. Fans can call the Hartford Civic Center Box Office at 860-727-8010, extension 6. The box office is open weekdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
