The Patton Township Police Department is investigating the attempted theft of an ATM from Target, 315 Lowes Blvd., that occurred Tuesday morning. According to a police report, three men entered the store around 11 a.m. and attempted to remove a freestanding ATM. The men fled the store after they realized they were unable to lift the ATM, police said. They then left in a dark-colored Ford F-150 truck with a ladder rack in the bed of the truck. The vehicle was last seen heading in the direction of North Atherton Street.
