Letter to the Editor
Immature arguments belong in preschool

In response to Michael Ekworomadu's frighteningly dogmatic letter ("Gays should prepare to meet Satan upon death," March 17), I have to ask The Daily Collegian: Why do you print this stuff? I understand the right to free speech, and Ekworomadu should be able to preach his dogma wherever he chooses, but why are these hate-driven opinions featured daily in this newspaper?

It is as though the Collegian wants to spark a pointless back-and-forth bickering between both extremes. Surely, we can find better things to print in the provided space. But, is this likely to happen? I'm not so sure, so I'll play along.

I found it not too surprising that Ekworomadu couldn't even back up his infantile claims with any reasons or facts. Apparently, gays are going to "hell" just because. I guess all the countless people who were alive before Christianity was concocted were fresh out of luck, what, without the "undying truth" to rely upon. What is this, preschool?

If Ekworomadu wants to debate, I welcome him to debate my niece, who is in preschool. She's pretty good at it.
