Police Log

Theft: A resident of the 300 block of Locust Lane reported to the State College Police Department that $960 worth of items were stolen from his apartment sometime over last week's spring break. The items include an Xbox, a Sony DVD player and a Takamine guitar.

Burglary: An employee of Dollar General, 424 Westerly Parkway, reported to the State College Police Department that someone tried to break into the store sometime between 8:30 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. yesterday. Police noticed fresh ply marks on the door of the store, but the person was unsuccessful in his attempt to enter.

Disorderly Conduct: An employee of McDonald's, 442 E. College Ave., called the State College Police Department at about 4:30 p.m. on Monday because she thought two people were having sex in the women's bathroom of the restaurant. When police arrived, they found a man and a woman in the bathroom, but they were not having sex at the time. The man was charged with disorderly conduct for being in the women's bathroom.

Open Lewdness: A woman reported to Pattee Library staff members that she observed a man touching his genitals through his pants while looking at her in the reserves reading room. She described the man as being white and in his late 20s. The woman did not identify herself to library staff members. Staff members were unable to find the man and notified Penn State University Police. University Police did not speak with the woman directly. The incident is being investigated.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
