A witness reported that at noon yesterday a male driver cocked a pistol and pointed it at a nearby moving vehicle on West Beaver Avenue, the State College Police Department said.

The man, described as white and in his 30s with shoulder-length light brown hair and possibly facial hair, was in a white Chevrolet station wagon.

The witness said the trunk of the station wagon was full of objects, possibly cleaning supplies. The vehicle the man pointed the pistol at was described as a white Jeep Wrangler with a tan soft top. Anyone with information is asked to contact the State College police at 234-7150.
