NEWS

Howard Stern had been reprimanded once again, as Clear Channel Radio removed his show from six radio stations last week.

The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Senate approved a revised elections code yesterday after the administration did not overturn the Court's decision to reject the code because of the spending cap.

In an effort to involve students in local politics, Undergraduate Student Government (USG) members are expected to petition State College Borough Council tonight to change how council members are elected.

Former President Bill Clinton smoked marijuana; President George W. Bush tore down a goalpost at a football game, and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., was one of the most vocal Vietnam activists of his day.

While some Penn State students prepare to spend spring break perfecting their partying skills, others are planning to forgo the typical celebration to help others.

Before a crowd of nearly 300, AdeWole Adegbonmire was crowned Mr. Black Penn State 2004 in the 15th Annual Mr. Black Penn State Pageant Saturday night.

A woman reported at about 6:30 a.m. yesterday that she was indecently assaulted by a man unknown to her, the State College Police Department said.

A woman reported Saturday that an unknown, middle-aged man attempted to pull her into her own car against her will.

Candidate packets are now available for students who want to run for Undergraduate Student Government (USG), University Park Allocation Committee (UPAC) and Association of Residence Hall Students (ARHS) positions.

The lack of green space, loss of on-street parking and community continuity were addressed in the most recent proposals for redeveloping the 200 block of South Allen Street at the State College Borough Council's work session on Friday.

SPORTS

During Saturday's fencing meet, a fan of Penn State's Marten Zagunis asked him if he could promise some bloodshed.

As the start of the Big Ten season draws near, the Penn State men's tennis team must show the physical and mental toughness they are capable of.

The thought of a loss was buried deep in the minds of the No. 21 Penn State women's gymnastics team. In 37 previous meetings with Pittsburgh, the Nittany Lions had lost just once, back on Feb. 18, 1984.

After hearing two simple words, "go buddy," Chad Buczek knew he was ready to perform.

Does 299.5 round up to 300?

The weekend series between Penn State and Norfolk State was only three batters old but already it produced a decisive moment.

Winning is contagious and so is losing.

If history holds any validity, then yesterday should have been quite predictable when the No. 17 Penn State men's lacrosse team took on No. 11 Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

In the preseason, the No. 10 Penn State (0-1) women's lacrosse team was picked as the commodore of the American Lacrosse Conference, right behind the admiral, Ohio State.

The Penn State Ice Lions saved the best win for last.

Time will tell if the Penn State Boxing team would have been better off resting injuries instead of traveling to Gettysburg University on Saturday.

For the Penn State men's track team, any effort it gave in the two days of the Big Ten Championships was mediocre compared to a loaded field of talent and depth.

KINGSTON, R.I. - Coming off a emotional 9-8 double-overtime loss in the Eastern Collegiate Women's Hockey League semifinals less than 24 hours before, it would only be natural to wonder if the Penn State Lady Icers' physical and emotional gas tanks were on empty entering yesterday's ECWHL consolation game with Boston University.

Michigan State big man Paul Davis took a perfect pass from Chris Hill, drove uncontested to the hoop and slammed it home. Later, freshman guard Shannon Brown stripped the ball and threw down a one-handed dunk that would have made Michael Jordan proud.

It seems like no one ever pays enough attention to Lady Lions forward Jess Brungo.

Shereka Wright, a slender, graceful-looking woman, strolled away from the court after warm-ups, her gait calm, placing one shoulder in front of the other as she walked.

It's time to bring the banner home.

In the game that meant everything, it simply came down to a tale of two halves.

The Penn State women's golf team was unable to compete this weekend as some unexpected snowfall canceled the Edwin Watts Carolina Classic in Pinehurst, N.C.

A 1-4 record at the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational II may not seem like something to be happy about. However, for the Penn State softball team, that's one win more than it got in its first week of play.

ARTS

What's the gist of Comedy Central's latest attempt at reality TV? Think of the show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, strike it, reverse it, and you have Straight Plan for the Gay Man, the new parody running its second of three episodes at 10 tonight.

Art can be defined in many ways.
