Author to speak about Holocaust trials, book

Writer and producer Joshua M. Greene will be giving a presentation on the Dachau trials at 6:45 p.m. today in 117 Osmond Lab.

Greene will base his presentation, sponsored by the Penn State Vedic Society, on his new book, Justice at Dachau: The Trials of an American Prosecutor. However, Vidyadhar Mukund Karmarkar, a member of the Vedic Society, said he might talk more about the Dachau trials than the book, because he is not coming to simply promote the book.

The Dachau trials took place in post-Holocaust Germany and found individual concentration camp workers responsible for Holocaust crimes.

Greene is mostly known for his books and documentaries on the Holocaust, especially his recent book, Witness: Voices from the Holocaust, which he discussed at Penn State in February 2002.

The presentation today will consist of a Power Point presentation and video screening, Greene discussing issues related to his book and a question-and-answer session.
