I was really happy to read that Graham Spanier is going to take our concerns to Harrisburg ("Spanier to lobby state for funding," Feb. 17). As president of this university, I think Spanier is a wonderful symbol of students' needs and concerns. But an even better symbol than him would be an actual student. We students need to stop complaining so much and take some action.
What kind of good ole' boy deal is Spanier going to make with his friends down in Harrisburg? What kind of concrete appropriations are we going to get? I think we'll get a better deal if we are involved.
