Police Log

Harassment: A taxi driver reported at 3:40 a.m. yesterday that a customer refused to pay for his ride and struck him before fleeing toward Walker Building, Penn State University Police said. A search to locate the individual was unsuccessful.

Theft: A Nittany Lion mascot head and 500 CDs were reported stolen at 2:49 p.m. Saturday from a vehicle parked on the 500 block of Calder Way, the State College Police Department said. The head was not the official lion costume, and the value of the items is unknown, police said.

Theft: An employee of Players Nite Club, 112 W. College Ave., reported at 5:12 p.m. Friday that her purse was taken from a storage room in the back of the building, the State College Police Department said. The purse and its contents are valued at about $1,000, police said.

Theft: A student reported at 12:42 a.m. Friday that his bicycle was stolen from the bike racks near the HUB-Robeson Center, Penn State University Police said. The item was secured to the rack at the time of the theft. The value of the bike is estimated at $500, police said.

Theft: An individual reported at about 2 p.m. Friday that his MP3 player and two shirts were stolen from the Multi-Sports Complex on Feb. 14, Penn State University Police said. Value of the items is about $525, police said.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
