Penn State football signee Gerald Cadogan, a 6-foot-7, 310-pound offensive lineman from Portsmouth, Ohio, was selected for the 47th annual PNC Big 33 Football Classic to be held Saturday, July 24.
Cadogan will be part of a team composed of Ohio's top high school football players and will face off against an all-star squad of the top Pennsylvania athletes, several of whom have recently signed letters of intent to play for the Nittany Lions.
The Ohio roster has yet to be finalized, but Pennsylvania's final roster boasts five future Penn Staters. They include linebacker Dontey Brown, fullback Dan Lawlor, quarterback Anthony Morelli, linebacker Tyrell Sales and defensive tackle A.Q. Shipley.
The PNC Big 33 Football Classic is widely known as the "Super Bowl of High School Football," but has also raised more than $2.9 million in academic scholarships since 1985.
Last year, the Ohio team routed the all-stars from the Keystone State 38-7, but Pennsylvania leads the overall series five games to four.
