Former PSU professor gets suspicious mail

A retired Penn State professor received a suspicious package yesterday morning and took it to the State College Police Department for them to investigate, according to a report he filed with the police.

Vincent Norris, a former philosophy professor, told police he did not recognize the return address or the sender's name.

After searching online for information about the sender, he brought the package to the police.

The police called a Penn State bomb technician to open the package. Upon opening it, the technician found a book containing a thesis from a former student of Norris.
