When I read Dave Issadore's letter in The Daily Collegian Monday ("PSU acceptance based on grades, not looks," Feb. 9), I honestly felt sick. Penn State isn't a campus that's just about academics. If the Dave Issadores of Penn State had their way, would football players not receive scholarships based on their athletic skills? I understand that Issadore is a physics major, and we can't all be as brilliant as him. But must he thumb his nose at the rest of State College's "uneducated" masses? I, for one, welcome the arrival "Boy of the Year" Mark Wieder into our ever-evolving community that is Penn State.
