Penn State University Police is continuing its investigation into a fight that took place early Saturday morning at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.
The altercation broke out at about 4 a.m. near the end of the "Black Ice" party sponsored by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
Chris Johnson, president of the fraternity, said that about 15 people were involved in the seven-minute brawl.
Johnson met with Ice Pavilion supervisor Chris Whittemore yesterday to discuss payment for damage caused to two trophy cases.
Whittemore has yet to determine how much the fraternity will have to pay if it is found liable because the original price of the trophy case is unknown.
If Judicial Affairs finds Penn State students guilty of violating the code of conduct, it could order them to pay for damage, Johnson said.
Johnson sent a letter to student groups, university officials and The Daily Collegian describing the event and calling for an end to violence on campus.
"Right now, the fighting has caused a lot of fear," Johnson said. "Also, people do not want to deal with it ruining their night."
The letter also stated that Penn State football players were involved in the fight. The Penn State Athletic Department issued a statement on Monday saying it believed student athletes did not instigate the altercations but might have been victims.
