I am glad that the former Penn State College Republicans chair has decided to resign his post ("Two College Republican leaders resign," Feb. 2).
I do not know what kind of a leader Brian Battaglia was, and I will not criticize him. However, his actions were disturbing and offensive.
People need to move on and realize that this was a mistake on the behalf of a person and not a party. I urge people not to hold a grudge against a party or a president on the account of one person.
As a College Republican chapter chairman, I can assure the public that the actions of the former chair are not the desires of the party.
Members of the College Republicans must bring healing to a divided club. Bring to the table some resolved solutions and not more finger pointing and strife.
I hope that a new leader can restore unity within the club.
