The Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association conference match between the No. 9 Penn State Nittany Lions (3-3) and the St. Francis Red Flash (3-5) that was scheduled for last night was cancelled due to weather and traffic concerns.
The match was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, but was cancelled due to inclement weather. The match has now been rescheduled for Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at Rec Hall.
The Lions will have to wait until tomorrow night at 7 to begin their conference schedule, when they battle Rutgers-Newark.
Penn State battled against many of the top teams in the country during its non-conference schedule.
Penn State defeated perennial powerhouse Hawaii earlier this season, winning 3-2.
The Lions have also split a pair of matches with defending national champions Lewis, with Penn State winning the most recent match 3-2.
Also junior outside hitter Keith Kowal, the current EIVA Player of the Week, has to wait to show how good he has been recently with his 4.08 kills average and his blistering .590 hitting percentage.
Last weekend the Lions split a pair of games.
Penn State lost to Ball State and then bounced back to knock off Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne.
