Greyhound buses stop service due to weather

Greyhound bus lines have not run from the local Greyhound bus station, 152 N. Atherton St., since Sunday because of severe weather between State College and Pittsburgh.

Fullington Trailways bus lines also canceled westbound routes this week.

Greyhound buses that make stops in State College are stationed in Pittsburgh and cannot get out of the city. A ticket agent at the station said two of the company's buses attempted to drive to State College yesterday but turned around because of snow drifting onto highways.

Fullington Trailways buses, located at the same depot, have maintained some routes during the week's inclement weather because they are based in State College.

The status of today's bus departures was still unknown yesterday.
