Letter to the Editor
Bush support absent from Collegian article

I'm horrified of the unbalanced reporting we have here at Penn State, particularly in reference to "President surprises students in speech," Jan. 21. Students at Penn State may not have heard the speech properly. First of all, the reporter only talked to students who were upset with the speech, not the students who support President Bush and why they liked the address. Look at the weapons of mass destruction. Troops are finding evidence of places where scud missles and chemicals had been stored (obviously Saddam would either hide them,or destroy them since he had an advanced warning of our attack). Not to mention, the recent mass gravesites found. But obviously that is not evidence enough.

Also, how are we lacking international backing when he mentioned Australia, Japan, Britain, Poland, Finland, Spain and 17 other counties who asked to be anonymous? Gee, I guess we don't have international backing. Either that or students were too busy booing while he was calling off the names.

The point is, I don't feel students at Penn State follow Bush's issues, they only follow the Democrats' name calling. The Daily Collegian should talk to other students who like Bush for once, not just one side.
