The 8 a.m. debate

For most students, having an 8 a.m. class is stressful in itself. With the added stress of getting a bus to take you to that class, the process becomes almost painful.

One would think that if he or she were at the bus stop at 7:30 a.m. that he or she would arrive on time (if not early). Within the last two weeks I have been on time to my 8 a.m. BiSci class once.

I don't know what early morning bus service is like on other parts of campus, but it would be an understatement to say that East Halls has a problem. Half of the buses coming from the direction of the Bryce Jordan Center, heading toward central campus, don't even stop at the Intramural Building or East Halls stops. This is due to people being jammed in up to the "yellow line."

I understand that these buses are a free service provided for our convenience. As of right now, though, I would not say they are convenient or reliable (at least not if one wants to make it to his or her class on time).
