A University Park man is facing indecent assault charges for allegedly taking pictures of a woman's genitalia without her consent.

Eric Perna, 23, was arraigned yesterday before District Justice Bradley Lunsford on two counts of indecent assault and one count each of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, and invasion of privacy.

Perna was released on $5,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 28 at Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.

According to court documents, the victim contacted police after she found 38 pictures of her genitalia on Perna's digital camera and two pairs of her underwear in his backpack. The pictures were taken on three separate occasions between July 2003 and November 2003. Alcohol was a factor in the incident, the documents said.
