3 sign letter of intent for women's lacrosse
Sports in Brief

The Penn State women's lacrosse team has signed three players to National Letters of Intent, head coach Suzanne Isidor announced. Lindsay Hagemann, Jessi Lieb and Linsey Shea, all midfielders, will be eligible to play for the Nittany Lions beginning in the 2005 season.

Hagemann, a three-sport athlete at Watertown High School in New York, was named the lacrosse team's Most Valuable Player and was also a 2003 Lacrosse Academic All-America selection. "Lindsay is a phenomenal allaround athlete," Isidor said. "Her game sense and work ethic are second-tonone and we are excited to have her at Penn State."

Lieb, also a three-sport athlete, is the only recruit from Pennsylvania. At Radnor High School, she was a member of the 2003 state champion lacrosse team, and was named a 2003 U.S. Lacrosse first team All-American. "Jessi has the ability to make things happen on the field," Isidor said. "She can score goals, make the great pass and play defense. We are looking for her to do it all at Penn State."

Shea is a four-year starter on the varsity lacrosse team at Seton Keough (Md.) High School and is the team captain in 2004. "Linsey has the ability to play anywhere on the field," Isidor said. "Her poise, speed and stick skills will allow her to play both ends of the field equally well."
