One of the most important public debates we can have is whether birth control and reproductive freedom of choice are rights protected by the U.S. Constitution -- and whether we want judges who recognize and protect those rights. It is a debate that will determine whether or not we protect privacy and personal decision-making. And it will determine whether decisions about when and whether to have children are made by women, in consultation with their families, their doctors, and their consciences, not by government and politicians.
Anti-choice politicians will undermine reproductive freedom of choice when we let them. We have to ask the right questions and pay attention to the answers.
