In June, Corning Asahi Video Products, 3500 E. College Ave., closed its factory.

This week, the presidential campaign trail has been heating up, and so has the controversy over President Bush's real motivation for waging war against Iraq.

Off-Campus Student Union (OCSU) President Paul Cronin must resubmit paperwork to the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Supreme Court for the group to gain status as an official student organization this semester.

In addition to saving a person's life, buckling up can also save someone from a $75 fine for violating Pennsylvania law.

A white man in his 20s was punched in the face at 1:30 a.m. yesterday at The Gingerbread Man, 130 Hiester St., the State College Police Department said. The Gingerbread Man staff confirmed that the incident occurred.

Penn State University Police received a complaint that a male visitor at the Nittany Lion Inn exposed himself to an employee of the inn. The incident occurred at 2:39 p.m. on Wednesday.

State College Community Theatre and the University Club, 331 W. College Ave., will present The Boal Barn Singers in Broadway Noteables! at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Two employees of the All American Rathskeller charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Penn State student Salvador Peter Serrano will face trial, District Justice Thomas Jordan ruled yesterday.

Attorneys and family members reacted strongly yesterday after two All American Rathskeller employees were bound over on charges of involuntary manslaughter at the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.

After a snowstorm hit Wednesday night and lasted into yesterday morning, bringing more snow than predicted, students walked to class on slushy, slippery sidewalks as the cold wind bit their faces.

It's the almost inevitable nightmare.

While thousands of students practice the traditional chant "We are … Penn State" during university athletic events, the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is launching a campaign to define what this statement really means.

After a season that saw the Penn State women's gymnastics team finish third at the Big Ten Championships, fourth at the NCAA Northeast Regionals, and sent two seniors to the NCAA National Championships, the squad is regrouping.

The common cliché is you win some and you lose some.

Another cold, snowy weekend in the northeast will prove to be the perfect weather to kick off the 2004 indoor track season.

The Nittany Lions look to firmly grasp the horns of the bull, which Penn State men's gymnastics coach Randy Jepson has personified as the opportunity the 2004 season presents, while continuing to develop against No. 3 Illinois at 7 tomorrow night in Rec Hall.

There is no such thing as a rebuilding year for the Penn State volleyball team. That holds true even after losing seven seniors from last year's squad. No matter how young or inexperienced the team, the goals never change.

In another step to earn points toward the U.S. National Team, three Penn State fencers are spending the weekend in San Jose, Calif.

Touted Ursuline High School quarterback Daryll Clark delayed announcing his college decision after originally planning to commit to a football program yesterday. Despite not officially giving a verbal commitment to the Nittany Lions, Clark stated that Penn State still remains his favorite, as it has been for much of his recruitment.

National recognition for the Penn State wrestling team kept coming this week.

The nets were arranged. Balls were being blasted. And competitors were sweating in Gym 2 at the Penn State Intramural Building. But it wasn't a usual game of volleyball that garnered the excitement. Rather the Intramural Building is hosting the USA Table Tennis Olympic Trials.

Penn State will try to keep its six-game winning streak going this weekend, but this will be no easy task.

As the No. 1 Penn State ACHA Div. I Icers (20-2) step onto the ice at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion this weekend, it will be in a very unfamiliar position; looking to rebound from back-to-back losses.

Some stories are too good to be true, blurring the line between fact and fiction. Big Fish puts those two opposing forces on even ground in what ends up being a simple, yet charming and heart-warming story that only the harshest of cynics could hate.

Shocking news: Just because R&B is terrible doesn't mean it always has to be.

Cold Mountain is an often-beautiful movie about always-beautiful people who had the misfortune of falling in love during the ugliest chapter of American history.

It all goes back to "Come Out and Play."

I'm a guy.

The cinematic canon of comedian Eddie Griffin is packed with absolute masterpieces of film, true paragons of movie-making virtue that surely will be remembered for centuries to come.

It all started with three boys who wanted to have fun and make some quick cash.
