Penn State will try to keep its six-game winning streak going this weekend, but this will be no easy task.
The No. 3 Ice Lions (18-4) will be facing two Super East Collegiate Hockey League opponents in No. 7 Central Connecticut State (9-6-3) and No. 2 SUNY Stony Brook (14-3-2). Both games will likely impact the standings in the Northeast.
"This is a huge weekend for us, beating these teams is very important," Ice Lions coach Mo Stroemel said.
The Ice Lions defeated both teams earlier in the regular season. During their six-game winning streak, the Ice Lions have been clicking on all facets of the game and feel confident with the system the team is running.
The only downfall for the Lions could be if the squad takes too many penalties and gives the other team opportunities to score on the power play.
