A pair of Penn Staters have accepted invitations to play in the inaugural Las Vegas All-American Classic where they will be coached by a former Nittany Lion gridiron standout.
Center Dave Costlow and fullback Sean McHugh will play for the East squad in the contest, which will be played Saturday, Jan. 17 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
The East will be coached by former Nittany Lion quarterback Galen Hall.
A veteran college and professional coach, Hall lettered from 1959-61 and helped Penn State earn a 15-6 combined record in 1960-61, including victories in the Liberty and Gator Bowls for Coach Rip Engle.
A fifth-year senior from Lansdale, Pa., Costlow started every game this past season at center.
He helped the Nittany Lions gain more than 400 yards four times and rush for more than 225 yards on three occasions. Costlow won the Richard Maginnis Memorial Award, presented to Penn State's outstanding offensive lineman.
