Letter to the Editor
Response to costumes self-serving and unfair

Penn State personnel, including spokesman Bill Mahon and President Graham Spanier, are demanding apologies from the College Republicans, deeming their actions at a private function to be "embarrassing." I am embarrassed by Penn State daily, but where is the apology for university sanctioned events like CuntFest and Sex Faire? Where is the apology for the deplorable behavior of football players and wrestlers? There is no apology because there is an agenda at work, while they hide behind the First Amendment when it suits them. You can't have it both ways, President Spanier -- either apologize for offending us daily and by design, or wrap the First Amendment around the College Republicans.
