On Monday, the College Republicans announced that "after contemplation" they realized that some people on campus might be offended by the appearance of a College Republican dressed as a member of the Ku Klux Klan ("Web site owner makes apology," Dec. 9).

Who knows what epiphanies the College Republicans might reach with more time for contemplation. A university campus might seem just the place to learn how to think critically about one's actions.
