Three Lions have been named to the National Soccer Coaches' Association All Mid-Atlantic Region team this year after leading Penn State to a 19-3-3 record and its sixth-straight Big Ten title.
Senior Joanna Lohman, sophomore Tiffany Weimer, and senior Stephanie Smith were all named to the all-region squad.
The selection marked the second-straight year on the first team for Big Ten Player of the Year Lohman and the second for Smith as a third- team pick. Weimer is on the team for the first time after joining Lohman as a first-team Big Ten selection earlier this season.
Lohman was just announced as one of three finalists for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy, given to college soccer's player of the year.
A central midfield, Lohman put up incredible numbers during her senior year en route to earning Big Ten Player of the Year honors and her fourth-straight all-Big Ten nod. Netting 19 goals, including a Penn State senior-record eight gamewinners, Lohman added six assists for 44 points this season.
She finished in the top 10 of every Penn State career list: No. 5 all-time in goals scored (41), No. 2 in assists (37) and No. 4 in points (119).
