Lady Icers face Buffalo in two home games

LADY ICERS

vs. Buffalo

10:15 p.m. Tomorrow; 10:45 a.m. Sunday, at Greenberg Ice Pavillion

It's been three weeks since Penn State's Lady Icers opened their league schedule with two 9-1 wins at the University at Buffalo.

Since those losses the Freeze (0-9) have been idle, licking their wounds and waiting for the chance to battle the Lady Icers again.

If Buffalo is looking for revenge, it will have to come this weekend -- on Penn State's turf.

The Lady Icers host Buffalo tomorrow night at 10:15.

After a very short night of rest, both teams will be back in action on Sunday morning at 10:45 in a game that will also be at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.

These are the final two games of the season between Penn State and Buffalo.

It's the first time Penn State (7-2-1) has returned to action after dropping two games at the University of Rhode Island last week.

By the time the teams lace up skates tomorrow the Lady Icers will also have found out where they stand in the first ACHA regional rankings. The rankings will be released today on the ACHA's website (www.achahockey.org).

Rhode Island (11-1), with an 8-0-0 record in ACHA games, suffered its only loss in an exhibition game last week and could claim the No. 1 spot in the ACHA East.

The Lady Icers have the second-best record in the East. Massachusetts (5-3, 2-1) is the only other team in the ECWHL over .500.
