Mount Nittany Medical Center reported to police at about 1 a.m. yesterday that it treated a female sexual assault victim.

The State College Police Department said an acquaintance assaulted the woman. Police said they are still investigating the incident's circumstances and would not release information about the victim or about where the assault occurred.
