Police find naked man tied to fraternity porch

Police were dispatched to Theta Delta Chi fraternity, 305 E. Prospect Ave., at 1:21 a.m. Saturday in response to reports of a naked man bound to a porch.

The State College Police Department said a large group of people was gathered near the porch and cheering while three people dumped buckets of chopped-up food on a naked fraternity member.

The man tied to the porch was a willing participant in what fraternity members said was a traditional event following a member's engagement to be married, police said.

Charges of open lewdness, indecent exposure or disorderly conduct may be filed, police said.
