Readers respond to Napster agreement

I'm curious. How is Penn State's agreement with Napster ("Napster sharing coming to campus," Nov. 7) the best way to address the plague of copyright infringement on campus? Yes, it could help reduce the amount of illegal activity, but so could a little bit more self-control on the part of students. With this deal, Penn State is essentially walking behind us like parents, paying the bills for our illicit behavior. When we leave our insulated bubble that is Penn State, we will discover that in the real world, crime has real consequences -- from which neither Mommy nor Graham Spanier can protect us.
