The Penn State's men's gymnastics team will begin the season ranked No. 5 according to the GymInfo Men's Gymnastics Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Nittany Lions are the defending Big Ten champions and return NCAA ring champ Kevin Tan as well as All-Americans Luis Vargas, Zach Roeder, and Ludwig Kern.
All six of the Big Ten's teams are in the Top 8 this season, with Ohio State beginning the year in the top spot for the season.
Oklahoma, Illinois, Michigan, Penn State, Iowa, California-Berkley, and Minnesota round-out the Top 8 in the poll.
The 2004 men's gymnastics season begins in early January.
