Walter G. Meyer, co-author of Day Is Ending: A doctor's love shattered by Alzheimer's disease, will be speaking and signing books at 2 p.m. today at Brookline Village, 1940 Cliffside Dr.
The book is co-authored by Dr. Richard W. Zalar and tells the story of Zalar and his wife's battle with Alzheimer's.
Meyer is a 1978 Penn State graduate and former writer for The Daily Collegian.
Day Is Ending is his second book, following 2001's Going for the Green: Selling the 21st Century, a business how-to book written in the form of a novel.
Meyer is currently a freelance writer based in San Diego.
