Senior forward Heidi Drummond earned Big Ten Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals and two assist in Penn State's final regular season weekend.
Drummond scored two goals and added an assist to lead No. 12 Penn State past No. 8 West Virginia, 4-1, in Morgantown after tallying the assist on the gamewinner at No. 21 Ohio State. Drummond is now third on the team in scoring with 11 goals and four assists.
A perennial all-Big Ten selection, this was Drummond's first Big Ten Player of the Week award this season.
No. 1 seed Penn State next meets No. 8 seed and host Wisconsin at the Big Ten Tournament in Madison, Wisc., on Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. CT. Penn State won its sixth-straight Big Ten title this season with a 9-1 conference record. They finished the regular season over the weekend with a 16-2-2 record.
