The Blue & White Society, the Penn State Alumni Association and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics are teaming up to host the "Rally in the Valley" football pep rally in anticipation of Saturday's Penn State-Ohio State clash in Beaver Stadium.

The event will take place Friday, October 31, immediately following the Nittany Lion women's volleyball match versus Northwestern.

The volleyball competition will begin at 7:00 p.m., with a 9:00 p.m. anticipated start time for the pep rally, or 20 minutes after the conclusion of the volleyball match.

Penn State football coach Joe Paterno and selected players will address the crowd.

The Penn State cheerleaders, the Dance Team, the Blue Band, and the Nittany Lion mascot will also participate in the event.

More than 750 "Rally In the Valley" T-shirts will be given away throughout the evening, courtesy of the Penn State Alumni Association, and shakers will be available for everyone attending the pep rally.
