Jeff Hantz, a Penn State student won the bronze medal in the shot-put at the World Wheelchair Games in New Zeleand.

Hantz has also won the bronze medal in the javelin.

The discuss, which is his strongest event, has yet to be done.

Hantz is looking to secure a spot on the 2004 U.S. Paralympic Team, which will compete in the Paralympic Games, to be held in Athens, Greece, with this recent strong performance in New Zealand.
