Obviously Fred Sahakian, the president of Bodyworks, did not have Penn State students' best interests in mind when he decided to set up his business in State College ("Campus fitness passes not actually a bargain," Oct. 24). There's absolutely no reason why Bodyworks needs to support a legislative bill to punish universities for providing fitness facilities to students, except for their own selfish money making motive. Sahakian claims that his intention is to help students save money.
If he had students' best interest in mind, he would support competition from the university that allows students to choose which fitness facility they would like to invest in. I think people are sensible when it comes to buying products and services that have the best value. We don't need the government to pass laws and tell us where we should invest our money.
