'Ghettopoly' promotes racial hatred, prejudice

What is wrong with the world today when board games, promoted as harmless ways to have fun, are being used to promote and spread racism, prejudice, hate and discrimination? Pennsylvania man David Chang developed the board game Ghettopoly. Built on the basis of Monopoly, it featured pimps, hoes, many crack references and an overall racist theme. The game is blatantly derogatory towards blacks with black faces representing characters on the board. The most disturbing part was that the game board itself was designed to look and appear dirty, with dirt stains covering the board. Did Chang honestly think he was creating something funny? Over the weekend, it was removed from the retailer Urban Outfitters store shelves amid protests and pressure. The NAACP staged a protest at an Urban Outfitters in New Haven, Conn. to have the game removed. People like Chang make the world even more difficult to live in if you are a minority, and he has no apologies for his actions. What type of world are we living in where individuals and even corporations and stores can promote such racial hatred?
