Reigning rookie of year continues with awards

Sophomore Tiffany Weimer has been red hot offensively all year for the Lions and this week was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after scoring all four Lion goals this past weekend.

The four-goal weekend gives Weimer 13 goals and six assists for the year for a total of 32 points. She currently leads the Big Ten in goals and points.

Last year's Big Ten rookie of the year, Weimer is averaging 1.4 goals per game in conference action this season and has only been held without a point on one occasion. Weimer is responsible for three of the Lions' four gamewinners in conference action in 2003.

The Lions' leading scorer, she is averaging 2.3 points per game this season on 13 goals and six assists for a total of 32 points.
