I have been hit with striking irony by an article in yesterday's Collegian ("Vehicle smashes camera," Oct. 6). How is it possible that police are still searching for the license plate number of a vehicle that not only hit one security camera but must have driven right by two others?
This incident occurred at 11:57 p.m. on Saturday.
This is what I would consider prime time for these cameras. I have to ask, are the cameras even on?
How can such cameras be used to positively identify an individual when they cannot make out a simple license plate number?
