2 new sexual assaults, police offer few facts

Little information is available on two more sexual assaults that have occurred in the past two days.

A sexual assault was reported to police at 11:01 p.m. Sunday from 101 N. Atherton St., and another assault occurred at 2:16 a.m. yesterday in a location unknown to police, the State College Police Department said.

Police have not released any further details.

It is unclear whether acquaintances or strangers assaulted the victims in each case.

No information exists that would indicate if the two assaults were connected to each other or related to three other stranger assaults that have occurred over the past month in State College. The most recent stranger assault had occurred early Friday on the 600 block of Clay Lane.
