Letter to the Editor
Democrats, Republicans debate responsibility for 9/11, war in Iraq

I have seen the responses to my recent letters and I pledge thanks for fellow Republicans showing support.

Let me explain a few things. First, Democrats didn't end the Depression, World War II took care of that. Second, I admit Republicans are spending and the deficit for fiscal 2003 will be $400-$425 billion.

However, lets look into that number. Fifty percent of it is based on lower revenues to the government from the 2001 recession. Forty percent is fighting the war on terrorism and 10 percent on the tax cuts. President Bush is doing what is necessary to fight the war on terrorism.

If you Democrats out there think I am offensive, that is your right. However, lets face facts. From 1979 to 2001, Democrats didn't even try going after our enemies, from the Iran hostage crisis in 1979 to the Kenya embassy bombings in 1998. Republicans will carry the terror war to victory. Where will the Democrats be? Maybe Democrats should think about the security of America. I will always support our great President George Bush.
