As I paged through the "Top 20 College Towns" issue of Sports Illustrated, I was embarrassed but not at all surprised to find Penn State at number 20.

I've heard a lot of talk around town about Penn State fans giving up on the team already. I have news for you: we were never there for them in the first place. As a matter of fact, the only time I've ever heard real noise in Beaver Stadium was at last year's showdown with Nebraska.

Other schools don't need a nationally televised primetime game to make noise for their team.

Penn State football may need a little bit of help this year, so let's give it to them. You only have four years in the second largest stadium in the country, so start making them count. Put on your navy blue T-shirt, arrive early, get off your cell phone and start screaming.

We have the potential to be the most intimidating stadium in the country, what are we waiting for?
