Though Lions hurting, booing Mills not answer

Last Saturday I was appalled when a chorus of boos rang out for Zack Mills.

While Mills did not play his greatest game ever, it was by no means his worst performance.

In fact, I recall far worse performances by other quarterbacks in my 11 years of watching Penn State Football. Mills even matched the yards of Boston College's Quinton Porter.

I get quite mad when the team plays sloppily but I never once have booed Old State.

Even more unsettling were the few cheers I heard when Mills got a little banged up. You have to be kidding me. You never cheer for anyone to get hurt. That is just sick.

Michael Robinson does look great and I do believe the future of Penn State rides on his shoulders. However, we have plenty of other problems to address.

Good things lie ahead for this team and I still think a 9-win season is achievable. Everyone just needs to understand that undermining Mills' confidence is the wrong step to take. Win or lose, fight on state!
