SPORTS

Officially 106,445 spectators packed Beaver Stadium on Saturday to witness Boston College's 27-14 thumping of Penn State, but for Eagles' running back Derrick Knight, there was one Nittany Lions fan that made an impact above the rest.

Three tailbacks, one big problem.

Jamaal Tate left the Penn State men's basketball program last season in mid-December, citing nagging injuries and chronic fatigue as his chief concerns.

SCIHEALTH

An institution as large as Penn State can have a huge effect on the local environment. It's the job of Al Matyasovsky, Penn State's recycling coordinator, to make sure that it doesn't.

According to a study conducted by a Penn State Abington professor, people who regularly use alarm clocks have less faith in their ability to wake themselves than do people who usually self-awaken.

ARTS

Steve Bentz and Todd Kirsten are paid to chill with and entertain a revolving crowd of liquored-up college kids. They earn their keep as musicians and benefit from access to tons of free booze.

The Bullet Parade is not a typical State College band. Let's face it, this just isn't the sort of the town that embraces lo-fi indie rock.

In the world of television ratings, gays have become a force to be reckoned with.
