Mr. Krueger accomplished what the penal system hopes for -- rehabilitation and becoming a productive part of society. How sad that society cannot accept that as being possible.
A horrible crime? Yes! Youth, drinking and rebellion is truly a deadly combination.
Perhaps if Mr. Krueger was a sports figure this could all be explained away and he wouldn't have even had to be an asset to society.
The victimized families saw value in not destroying Mr. Krueger's life by asking him not to receive the death penalty. Why can't we?
