Chili Peppers, Queens to 'give it away' at BJC

Red Hot Chili Peppers and special guests Queens of the Stone Age will play the Bryce Jordan Center at 8 p.m. Sept. 16.

Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Saturday. Wristbands, for ticket buyers wishing to purchase tickets at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center, will be made available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

All tickets are $37.50. Tickets will be available at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre Center, select Uni-Marts, the Altoona Campus ticket outlet or charge by phone at 814-865-5555, or 800-863-3336, or online at www.bjc.psu.edu.

Red Hot Chili Peppers last took the stage at the BJC in April 2000 for a sold-out show with Foo Fighters.

The band is touring to support last year's By the Way, which featured hits such as By the Way and The Zephyr Song.

Queens of the Stone Age is supporting last year's commercial breakthrough Songs for the Deaf, which featured No One Knows and Go With the Flow.
