NEWS

The four Penn State students arrested during the yearly "Mifflin streak" this past spring are now making their way through the judicial system.

Amanda Guzman, the Penn State student charged with endangering a child, still has the chance to have her record cleared in two years.

The State College Borough Council has postponed a recommendation proposed in the spring by the Transportation Commission to change the rates for rental parking. The rate increase would affect all motorists who rent spaces in the borough's municipal facilities.

Where a vacant downtown State College department store once was now stands Penn State's new 150-seat performing arts theater.

Two men raped and sexually assaulted a woman at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in an area near Fraternity Row.

While Penn State officials welcomed the U.S. Supreme Court decision last week backing the use of affirmative action by universities, they said the Court's decision would have little impact on Penn State's admissions process.

Greg Hennigar had a dream.

The Penn State Board of Trustees approved final construction plans for three new facilities on campus. The new Outreach Innovation Building, Smeal College of Business Administration Building and East Parking Deck with a Chilled Water Facility will cost about $131 million.

Two football team members were issued citations for underage drinking April 26 outside Nittany Apartments.

A preliminary hearing for Robert G. Sealy, of Spring Mills, is scheduled to take place July 30 at Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.

Tobi Glunt, the Spring Mills woman accused of helping her husband sexually abuse two girls, was sentenced Monday to five to 10 years in prison. Glunt pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of children, and testified at her husband's trial. When Glunt is released from prison, she will be required to register as a sexual offender.
