M. lacrosse
2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Jeffrey Field

The No. 12 Penn State men's lacrosse team (6-6, 3-2 ECAC) will play its final regular season game tomorrow against the Buckeyes of Ohio State (8-3, 4-1 GWLL). Tomorrow, the Nittany Lions will send off 10 seniors, including team captains Matt Zappia, Chris Garrity and Marshall Feldman, in a Senior Day ceremony.

Despite coming off a one-goal loss to Virginia last weekend, the Lions managed to move up three spots to the No. 12 spot, in a tie with Duke, which gives the team its highest ranking of the season.

Hope for an NCAA tournament berth remains alive, but Penn State must defeat the Buckeyes in order for the position to become solidified.

Tomorrow's matchup will be the first meeting between the two teams since 1996, when the Lions came away with a 8-7 overtime road victory.

One streak Penn State will hope to continue is its 6-0 career record against the cross-state rival.

Leading the Nittany Lions once again is the senior-freshman offensive combo of Feldman and Nate Whittaker. Whittaker leads the team with 21 goals.

On the defensive end of the field, Garrity will enter the game with 137 saves and a .555 save percentage. He is coming off a week in which he was named ECAC Defensive Player of the Week.
